Continues to haunt me
And it won't go away
Brings more tears
Each time I think of them
I fear to mention them
Cause it brings tears to your eyes
I can't bear your tears
I can bear mine
But the scars are there
scarring into me
clawing their fangs into my heart
not letting me live my present moment
tugging me back to those humiliating yesterdays
that I want to forget
Remedy them
Erase them
Salve them
balm them
Make me live again
Bring me to life....
